Andhra Pradesh Medical Council website www.apmedicalcouncil.com was inaugurated by Dr.Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Hon'ble Minister for Medical and Health on 12-10-2002 at Hotel Deccan Continental. At the function the Chairman Dr.C.Nageswara Rao brought to the notice of the Hon'ble Minister regarding Government orders for leasing the site for the combined councils building which has been pending with the Government for the last 4 years and requested him to immediately decide. The Hon'ble Minister after inaugurating the website in his speech commended the AP Medical Council for creating Corpus Fund of Rs.1.00 Crore to provide assistance for continuing medical education programme and also for starting website which contains information about all the doctors who have registered with the AP Medical Council. He promised that he would see that the Government orders are issued for leasing the site as early as possible. The entire function of inauguration was sponsored by kind gesture of M/s.NATCO PHARMA Ltd. Hyderabad.

          A Farewell meeting followed by Dinner was arranged in honour of the two retiring members viz., Dr.V.N.Waghray and Dr.M.V.Veeraraghava Reddy who represented NTR University of Health Sciences in the AP Medical Council for the last six years on 5-9-2003 at Green Park Hotel. The Chairman Dr.C.Nageswara Rao narrated the services rendered by the two members to AP Medical Council and thanked them for the same. The two members have expressed their feelings in reply to the Chairman's reamarks. Momentos were presented to these two members as a mark of gratitude to the service rendered by the two retiring members. Dr.T.V.Krishna Rao and Dr.V.S.R.Anjaneyulu joined the council in their places on 30-08-2003. Dr.T.V.Krishna Rao spoke at the meeting about greater involvement of the council in dealing with cases of unethical and malpractices against doctors indulging in such activities. Dr.V.S.R.Anjaneyulu could not be present due to prior engagements.
